Typical of our manufacturing ethic, the ladies here at The Wilderness wanted an overbuilt, over-engineered, super high-quality tote bag that would be something they would use themselves. They conspired to design and make what must be the ultimate tote bag that's just the right size for a multitude of uses:
- General carry-all bag
- Diaper bag
- Overnight bag
- Arts and crafts bag
- Grocery or picnic bag
- Fruit picking bag
- All-terrain family camping bag-of-holding
- Male employees suggest it may hold several human heads securely as a bonus!
These incredibly sturdy bags are made with a body of Cordura nylon and a double-layer bottom for a lifetime of service. As usual, we have taped all exposed edges. Durable 1.5" nylon webbing is used for the carry straps/handles (no cheap polypropylene). They wrap entirely around the underside of the tote for full-support of heavy loads, just like our utility bags. In studying how this would actually be used, the handles were designed to allow hand carry, but are also sized so you can slide your arm fully though them and carry it high on your side with the handles on top of your shoulder.
Inside the cavernous storage area is a central double-zippered pocket that runs the entire length of the bag and keeps items secured and out of sight. A snaphook on the inside of the main body can hold keys or similar items. Closure tabs on the top secure inside with heavy-duty hook-and-loop fasteners and remain out of the way when not in use, but quickly deploy to hold the bag's mouth closed.
An outside open-topped pocket offers speedy access to smaller, flat items.
