Designed in collaboration with Matt Haught of Symtac Consulting and Cecil Burch of Immedaite Action Combatives, our Nok Clinch Pick/Disciple Training Scabbard fits the Nok Hard Contact Trainer rendition of the renowned Clinch Pick or Disciple defensive knives from Shivworks and Ban Tang custom knives. Their experiences in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Shivworks classes like ECQC (Extreme Close Quarter Concepts) showed them the deficiencies of simply making-do by tucking the training knife into their pants. They wanted a scabbard that would replicate the real-world position and angle of the actual Clinch Pick or Disciple knife sheaths, make it easy to re-sheath the trainer into, be reasonably secure, be sturdy enough to last through a constant training regimen for years, and would not harm them or their training partners.
Our Nok Clinch Pick/Disciple Training Scabbard is first and foremost safe with no sharp edges. It retains the trainer in a loop of our rugged XHD elastic nylon, which is sewn to one of our signature wraparound belt loops. The elastic loop will not prematurely wear the soft Nok blade. Quick-detachable and secure, it features a hook-and-loop fastener closure with a security tab that extends over the top onto the back slightly. This dramatically reduces the chances of the QD belt loop being inadvertently opened during activity or abrasion.
