Pocket Modular Pouch
Our Pocket Modular Pouch (PMP) system was designed to offer a convenient and secure way to carry spare magazines for popular small autos, but with the flexibility of pairing different-sized pouches to fit differing items. Small pistols are often carried in IWB holsters or pocket holsters, but with no spare magazines. Our PMP system makes it easy to carry extra ammunition for these low-capacity pistols, as well as numerous other EDC (everyday carry) accessories.
Pouches are sold individually and come in three sizes:
- Small fits single-stack metal .380ACP/9mm mags (Ruger LCP, Colt Mustang, Sig P238, etc.) and smaller. Appropriate for smaller gentleman's folder pocket knives, small multitools, etc. DOES NOT FIT polymer magazines like Glock 42/43; see "Medium" below.
- Medium fits single-stack .45ACP metal mags (1911), .380/9mm polymer mags (Glock 42/43) and smaller. Appropriate for North American/Freedom Arms mini-revolvers with 1-5/8" bbl. or shorter, most multitools, large pocket knives, single-cell utility flashlights.
- Large fits .45ACP/10mm polymer mags and smaller, and .38/.357 QuickStrips/Speed Strips. Appropriate for double-stack 9mm/.40S&W mags.
They may be used as singles for smaller pockets. However, their unique modular pairing system also lets you combine two pouches of the same or different sizes. As a pair, connected by the hook-and-loop fastener mutual flap system, they work well in larger pockets such as cargo or tactical pants, field jackets, or backpack pockets. This lets you carry a wide variety of items safely in your pants pocket, including full-sized single-stack and double-stack magazines, multitools, folding knives, flashlights, and more. The pouches also feature removable, hook-and-loop fastener backed"sticky" patches of grippy rubberized material to minimize shifting and aid retention inside the pocket when drawing items from the pouches.
Derived from our Wilderness Mag Pouches, the PMP is constructed with a rugged shell of 1000d Cordura nylon, hook-and-loop fastener, and a polymer liner for stiffness. We do not use foam inside these pouches to intentionally reduce drag and prevent having the pouch inadvertently come out with the item.
Initial Fitting
The pouches are shipped closed for your custom fitting. The included black polymer sizing strip should initially be inserted with your item into the pouch and used to adjust the final level of retention, allowing reduced friction and easier removal of the item from the pouch. The sizing strip may be trimmed, but we recommend clipping the corners at an angle to avoid sharp edges. A larger magazine or item may also be used to speed up the process, but be judicious not to oversize it. After 1-3 days with the chosen item inserted, the pouch will retain the correct sizing and typically requires no further adjustment. The sizing strip may then be removed.
