Picatinny Rail Covers

All of our rail products are Mil-Std-1913 "Picatinny" compatible

WHY PROTECT YOUR RAILS?

The integrity of your rails directly relates to your optic's or designator's ability to retain zero through repeated removals. Dinged, dented or dirty rails ruin consistency and accuracy. Exposed rails can also cut and damage other gear, especially slings. So wear your seatbelt, eat your veggies, and protect those rails!

The MagPul Rail Panels have been updated to a new style, the XT Rail Panels. The new panels feature a segmented full-length design that can be more easily cut into modules by the user**. The long Rail Protectors will remain unchanged as the existing design can be easily cut to segments by the user.

*Please note that the molded-in color of rail panels and MagPuls may vary slightly from lot to lot. We have no control over this.

**We have had the most success by cutting the rail panels apart with a thin, very sharp serrated knife on a cutting board using a sawing motion. While scissors or shears do work, they leave a more ragged edge. However, the cut ends can be easily smoothed with light sanding against a flat, hard surface.

• MagPul XT Rail panel length: 6" (15 slot)

• Falcon Rail Protector length: 67/8" (18 slot; intended to be cut to necessary length)

Steve Hines, president of Falcon Industries, taught us a clever modification to the Falcon and MagPul rail panels. You can drill holes through the recessed sections of the panels and lace small nylon ties or paracord through them to secure switches or even burlap/jute to ghillie your weapon! We attached the on/off switch of a Sure-Fire light system to a module that we can place anywhere on the rails, and take off easily when we remove the light system.
